Upon arriving in Puerto Rico in 2010, I recognized the need to continue growing professionally in the field of healthcare, and specifically in mental health. This growth focused on optimizing the quality of healthcare services we provide daily to our patients on the island. The experience I gained as a surgeon in South America has fostered a more holistic approach to the comprehensive, biopsychosocial care of patients. This has intensified my interest in pursuing further studies and advancing my career in mental health, adhering to the highest quality standards required at the state and federal levels.
In addition to being a physician, I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the Ana G. Méndez University System in Puerto Rico. I have worked as a health sciences instructor for various local educational institutions, and my diverse certifications, work experience, and volunteer work have enriched my career, allowing me to provide patients with the service they deserve. I am part of a very special Puerto Rican family, whom I love and cherish. I have learned to love and delight in Puerto Rican cuisine, enjoy exquisite walks through El Morro, and compare the wonderful beaches of the south with those of my beloved Venezuela. I respect and strive to provide the best possible service to the Caribbean and Hispanic population with the same high-quality service that I received in my own training.
I provide psychotherapeutic care to individuals and families, including migrant families in the US and families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, to help them develop their potential and achieve greater family or individual functioning. I am also very proud and happy, along with my family, to volunteer with an international non-profit organization dedicated to sharing spiritual truths and practical guidance based on the Bible to help people be better parents and individuals in society.

I completed undergraduate studies in clinical social work at Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, where I also studied criminal justice and investigation. I have worked in areas related to the Judicial Branch, the Department of Family Services, the Department of Public Housing, and psychosocial therapy. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Massachusetts, where I worked as a Clinical Social Worker for two years. My responsibilities included providing therapy, counseling, and direct services.
Among my professional experiences, I hold three certifications related to substance abuse and use from the prestigious Harvard School of Massachusetts. Beyond professional growth, I've always been a dreamer. My hobbies are salsa dancing and drinking coffee. My long-term goal has arrived—right here and now!—to offer therapy on my beloved island.

I was born in Caracas, the capital of a small and beautiful country with a woman's name, "Venezuela," into a family where matriarchy reigned for several generations for various reasons, resulting in a lineage of warrior women: self-sufficient and courageous. However, my father was the love of my life, like every girl's. We were separated by divorce, and I later lost him tragically during my adolescence. This forced me to overcome the loss of the idealized image I had of him, as well as his physical absence, but it was through this experience that I learned forgiveness and tolerance.
I graduated as a Medical Surgeon at 23. Back then, I thought time was passing by so quickly, that there was still so much to learn, and that one lifetime wouldn't be enough to uncover all the mysteries the universe holds. Even my medical studies left me with more questions than concrete answers, challenging the limited logical capacity for understanding within the scientific paradigm. This curiosity, this passion for knowledge, has led me to study various humanities. In short, I can tell you that for as long as I can remember, I've been studying or reading something: one master's degree, five diplomas, three certifications, countless courses, and I've been self-taught in even more. And honestly, I discovered that I enjoy it. I love to travel, share experiences, and discover cultural diversity.
But I am also a human being who, like you, has had experiences of joy, laughter, colorful journeys, and setbacks, losses, farewells, and pain that have led me down the path that, not by chance, has brought us together today. With Life Teachers, of whom my mother was my Super Teacher, who passed away after battling breast cancer when I was 23, but who for more than 15 years had shown me the path of quantum energy, mathematics (she was an electrical engineer specializing in telecommunications), and also imagery, meditation, shamanic medicine—practices that Dr. Solomon was beginning to implement in his initial studies in the United States on psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) programs.
Through her, I learned the compassion that doctors must have for patients and their families; through her, I learned that we are all human and equal. But also that we are all different because we think, feel, and perceive differently. Since then, I have fallen in love with the knowledge of humanity, the divine, science, and health. And it is this accumulation of experiences, of lived experiences integrated with knowledge, that generates this philosophy of Well-being Awareness, which I offer to you so that you too can achieve the health changes that are convenient and necessary in your life.

My name is Josselyn Torres Rivera, and I live in El Petate, Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico. I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, a Master's degree in Autism, and another in Educational Administration. I also have two certifications: one in Psychological First Aid and the other in Autism for Social Workers. I have experience with the Department of the Family, the Department of Public Housing, Head Start, and in supervision. My greatest experience is with autism, as I live with it every day through one of my daughters. I am a mother and wife. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, going to the beach, and I am passionate about traveling and exploring new places.
I am a firm believer in inclusion and the individuality of every human being. I believe in the development of abilities both individually and collectively. My greatest satisfaction comes from helping people understand what Autism Spectrum Disorder is. Every individual with ASD is a person with unwavering potential; it simply needs to be nurtured to achieve better functioning at both the individual and family levels. I am confident that my studies and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder will be of great help to individuals and families affected by ASD.

My name is Natalia Morales, and I'm a psychologist who graduated from the Andean Area University Foundation in Bogotá, Colombia. I'm known for my cheerful nature and dedication to service. I enjoy seafood, peaceful natural spaces, hiking, extreme sports, traveling, and exploring. I like spending time with my family, reading, dancing, and going to the movies.
Throughout my experience, I have enjoyed working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting using a cognitive-behavioral approach, supporting their growth and personal development. Through creativity and empathy, I create a safe, trusting, and playful environment where I can identify strengths to nurture and areas for improvement. Understanding the child's developmental stage, I also provide training for caregivers, who play a vital role in the child's well-being and positive environment.
"Sow good ideas in children, even if they don't understand them. The years will take care of deciphering them in their understanding and making them blossom in their hearts." (Maria Montessori)
It will be a pleasure to accompany you in this beautiful process where you will learn techniques to strengthen bonds and environments with and for your child.
