We did it again: Annual event Amarte más, 5th edition.

Writing these lines fills me with great enthusiasm, because when we started the Amarte Más workshops in 2019, we started in the lobby of the clinic, where I provided mental health services, in Carolina, PR. On that occasion, it was very exciting, and it attributes us to understand the importance of "believing in ourselves" in our goals, in our Talents, in our strengths.

With the arrival of Mr. Covid in 2020, we did not stop doing "Amarte más" workshops and on that occasion, we did them virtually, fully online, and it was also very exciting to see special people from Mexico connect to the transmission. from Florida, from Barcelona, Spain. And in that year we understood that we could not abandon the mission, I also understood that the key piece of our Emotional Health, and mental health without a doubt, will always depend on how much you value yourself, respect yourself and love yourself.

And why do I put so much emphasis on this detail? Because there will always be times of uncertainty, emotional crises, existential crises, identity crises, as Erick Erickson, the father of the theory of Psychosocial Development, called them, clinical conditions, traumas, however, what will always make the difference is the degree of valuation, self-knowledge, self-identity, and self-love that you have developed with yourself throughout your life.

So this time, in March 2023, we developed the necessary scaffolding for a very special meeting of Latina and Hispanic specialists; Our 5th edition of the Amarte Más Workshop was different. We organized it hand in hand with the Ana G. Méndez University Orlando campus, who not only warmly opened its doors to receive us, but also counted on the kindness and hospitality of a team of Faculty, directors and technical team, luxury! This edition of our Amarte Más Workshop came loaded with Humanism from the hand of Licenciada Ximena Oropeza, who came from Mexico to tell us about the importance of identifying your labels on time, and not allowing that internal language to be a stumbling block to reach the maximum potential in the development of your personality.

Lic. Ximena Oropeza.

In addition to this, in this workshop we work hand in hand with two high-calibre professionals, both Puerto Ricans, Latinas and with enormous sensitivity: Lic.Solimar Montero and Dr. Celia Rivera, who taught us that day that although at some point from your story perhaps you felt abandoned, you felt humiliated, offended by the most important people in your life (parents or main caregivers), the time had come to remove that stone from our shoe, to drop those emotional burdens , so heavy that they carried us dragging the "backpack" of irrational thoughts and ideas.

Solimar Montero, who provides Individual Therapy services in Puerto Rico, has vast experience caring for children and young people at MentesSaludables, so without a doubt she is well familiar with many life stories and stories that our patients share with us at the office. , and we know the importance, of teaching them to delimit limits, borders, in addition to developing in our young people the necessary tools so that they can heal processes that do not allow them to reach their greatest goals, academic and/or personal potential.

Also on that very special afternoon , I was accompanied by 2 professionals from the medical area , each of them excellent in their areas of specialty . On the one hand , Dr. Marialejandra Mabulli , doctor , nutrition coach , who that afternoon taught us the importance of knowing our healthy identity and the conscious relationship we have with food. What foods do we select, what ideas do we develop in relation to that conscious selection of foods that we eat daily. And on the other hand, Dr. Kelly Garcia, our beloved Cardiologist, specialist in Arrhythmias, flew from the city of Santiago, Chile, to Florida not only to be present at our Annual Amarte Más Event, but also to explain the importance of to create and maintain "healthy relationships" of friendship, as a couple, at work.

Dr. Kelly Garcia, has a cardiological preventive consultation, online at MentesSaludables, available only on Saturdays for when you need to sit down with her from the comfort of your computer or mobile device, and explain your symptoms or cardiological Dx and thus be able to receive feedback from a super warm specialist, who will give you the best recommendations in that matter.

As always in our Amarte más events, you cannot miss some special protagonists: Las Flores!! , good food and an exquisite evening with violin music.

The violinist Claudia Sardiña from the City of Orlando accompanied us during dinner, with some divine pop ballads to put the special touch of the night.

Our more face-to-face and Online Amarte events are aimed at the community of Latino professionals, and/or the community in general that is willing to reflect, develop skills and emotional tools necessary to become unstoppable, in their Personal Goals, in the creation and fulfillment of measurable Objectives, with an Organized methodology, and a real measurement of Achieved Goals, this is how Psychologist Doménica Ardizzone teaches us, who presented her keys and Methodology from Zaragoza, Spain.

So once again I introduce you to my team, the best team!!! They are all tough in their areas of expertise, they are Hispanic, Latino and they are willing not only to teach you to value yourself and Love you more, but also to provide you with that specialized and individualized service that you need, on your schedule and in the comfort of your space.

Finally, we want to thank once again some luxury sponsors, Jeena Health System, BYG Services in the city of Orlando, Bioage Skincare, and the team of volunteers and professionals from Ana G. Méndez University, Orlando campus by the hand of Dr. Débora Fontanez, Dr. Janet Carrasquillo, Dean of the School of Behavioral Sciences, and the Director of Operations of the Metro Orlando campus, Lic. Sandra Martinez, who once again demonstrated their commitment to the Mental and emotional Health of Hispanic and Latino communities in the state of Florida.

So once again from MentesSaludables, we will be working to provide you with the best and specialized service to help improve your Emotional and Mental Health, hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team committed to it.
