You don't have to have a mental illness or disorder to decide to see a therapist, just as you don't have to wait for a minor affliction to turn into something more serious, and psychotherapists understand that better than anyone.

Like other people, psychotherapists are not superheroes, and therefore they are not immune to the misfortunes that inevitably occur throughout life.

Despite their knowledge and abilities to help others, therapists are not covered with a mantle resistant to pain, anxiety, life's obstacles, loss, etc. Therefore, on certain occasions, it is necessary to request the help of another Mental Health professional.

In addition, the advantage that a psychotherapist or psychologist may have is that they may be able to identify when something is wrong and ask for help before the problem becomes too deep in them.

Have a space to pamper yourself, practice a hobby or a sport, go to a spa to relax, read a book while enjoying a hot drink; or a wine, spending time alone or with friends, can be some of the activities necessary to live in harmony and well-being. Especially in carrying out activities of daily living that go beyond meeting basic needs such as eating, sleeping, etc”, your exercise routine, conscious breathing, your period of gratitude and spirituality are therefore important.

Taking care of yourself is asking yourself “what do I need?” and act without postponing for “when you have time”. Without "procrastinating" It is so, that the first thing to understand is that self-care is something very personal, and what is done to cultivate it depends on each one of the particular needs and tastes.

Briefly, self-care is recognizing that each person is responsible for their own well-being, and that this well-being also extends to the family and the community. After recognizing it, it is followed by taking actions and measures to respond to the needs that protect mental, physical and emotional health. Those actions later become habits, and of course, the goal is to make them healthy habits.
