My name is Stephanie Cruz Ortiz. I am originally from Humacao, Puerto Rico and I have a master's degree in music therapy from Texas Woman's University. I am the owner of "Lean on Me LLC", a private music therapy practice based in O'ahu, Hawaii. I have had experience working with diverse populations such as hospice, memory care, nursing homes, special needs, adolescents, adults youth as victims of domestic violence.

What is music therapy?

It is a therapeutic alternative in which we music therapists use music as a means to work on specific goals and objectives, and thus support the patient in turning their needs into strengths. We music therapists go to university and rigorously prepare ourselves to acquire the necessary therapeutic skills to offer the patient the best service. Music therapy has been approved by countless scientific investigations. It provides great benefits to the physical, emotional and mental health of the individual.
